Stewart D. Sachs is founder and president of Worthington Alternative Capital in Owings Mills, Md., and a managing member of Black Walnut Capital Partners and Talbot Consulting. He has more than 40 years of experience serving clients in the financial services field.

Prior to founding Worthington Alternative Capital, Sachs was president of Bay Capital Corp., a national mortgage company that does business in 45 states, headquartered in Owings Mills. Previously, he was president and chief executive officer of Valley Pine Mortgage in Reisterstown, and for 17 years, Sachs was president and CEO of Regal Savings Bank in Owings Mills.

Sachs serves as president of Har Sinai Congregation in Owings Mills and previously served as vice president, treasurer, trustee, and second vice president to the congregation. He is a member of the Maryland Private Lenders Association board of trustees and director of Lexington National Insurance Corp. Formerly, Sachs was treasurer of the Reisterstown, Owings Mills and Glyndon Coordinating Council, founder and consultant to Maryland Permanent Bank and Trust Company in Owings Mills, and president of Baltimore Roundtable, an organization of local professionals who participated in philanthropic activities.

In addition, Sachs has served as an expert witness in Federal Bankruptcy Court in Baltimore and Rockville, Md., as well as in the Baltimore County and Baltimore City Circuit Court.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Baltimore in Baltimore, Md. Sachs resides in the Baltimore Metro area with his wife, Nadine Sachs.
